At 10:07 pm EDT during the Vice Presidential Debate, Senator Kamala Harris declared that contracting COVID-19 and recovering will be classified as a pre-existing condition.
The legal and health consequences of this dictate have deleterious consequences to any and every American who has or may yet contract this disease.
Of all the rhetoric during the Vice Presidential debate this one declaration by Senator Harris should stop the presses and cause every citizen, every parent, every physician, every insurer and every lawmaker to challenge her premise. America has never adopted such a policy. To suggest such an idea has untold consequences.
Will anyone in the U.S. media stop and notice this dangerous statement? Or is the Senator simply playing into the politics of unfounded fears of COVID-19?
