ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – An argument at a poker table in an Atlantic City casino ended with one man dead and another man in custody.
Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel said in a statement that the altercation between Vicente Perez of Georgia and an unnamed victim started around 2:46 p.m. Saturday inside the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort.
The altercation spilled out into the hotel’s valet parking lot where the victim was stabbed.
He was pronounced dead at an Atlantic City hospital.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of the next of kin.
Perez has been charged with aggravated manslaughter, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday.
