The narrative is getting old. That is the feeling we are getting from key primary states. The identity politics of division plays well on cable news but voters are growing weary of the check list of who is “the bad person” today. And they are recognizing that just being angry at the other team does not change the scoreboard.

So the table is being set for key races in the states, races that will cover Congress, Governor’s mansions and state legislatures. The media will try to interpret every election as a Trump vs No-Trump referendum. That will be less than half the story. The fuller reality is this: “Other than identity politics and anger at guns, what is the vision of the Left for the nation?” Is the shelf-life of the Left’s narrative about to expire?

Much more ahead. Please stay tuned.
