Music often notes a change of heart or mind. Music even notes changes in culture. We sing Yankee Doodle and teach it to our children when they learn of the War for Independence. We sing Yankee Doodle Dandy because of Broadway and film. The Public Square is privileged to tell the story of American liberty using all the tools available including music, theater and the arts. Recently we sponsored an event in Naples, Florida that you can hear on The Public Square. It is a celebration of some of the most inspiring songs from the American theater in a beautiful show produced and performed by Ernie Haase and Signature Sound. Their special musical guest is Broadway legend J. Mark McVey. I won’t spoil the rest but to say – please — listen to The Inspiration of Broadway on The Public Square®.
