The special election for the United States House of Representatives in Pennsylvania District 18 is over, or sort of over. The election results are so close that a recount is likely and it is quite possible that the outcome may take a while to legally certify. In any case, a good number of voters came out on a wintry day and cast their ballots for Congress. Over 226,000 voters showed up to vote and that is impressive.
The good people of Pennsylvania have spoken their mind and elected Democrat Conor Lamb. Our congratulations to Mr. Lamb on his victory.
The national media refuses to cover the facts from the ground on this race. As Mr. Lamb has consistently stated, this race was not about Donald Trump. Mr. Lamb should know. This special election, birthed in scandal, was about a whole lot more including what happens when a member of Congress betrays the trust of the people back home.
