Wayne Shepherd

Wayne Shepherd:  This is The Public Square®  with Dave Zanotti of the American Policy Roundtable.  I'm Wayne Shepherd. I’ve got a feeling we are going against the tide again today here on The Public Square®.

Dave Zanotti: Wayne, we decided a long time ago that around here we would have to face the hard truths about American history and public policy. Sometimes that means we have to stand against the political machines and the media.

This is one of those times. Right now we are being lied to about healthcare. There is no crisis in healthcare but one: The existing government healthcare entitlement programs called Medicaid and Medicare don’t work. That’s no big surprise. Anybody with a grade school education can see that the myths of the Great Entitlement Society were built on phony math and promises government can never keep.

Private sector healthcare is not in danger. Protecting people’s right to chose what is best for their families still works. What doesn’t work is running healthcare from Washington DC.

We are being lied to in this way. Politicians want us to believe that everyone is going to lose their healthcare if Washington does take control over all. That is simply not true. It is a huge con.

WS: So what do we do?

DZ: First, we need to pray that the con will be exposed. Next, we need the facts and finally, this is the time we have to get a hold of our members of Congress and make certain they know how strongly we feel about this issue. This is the time to call and email Congress—today.

WS: We can help you with the information you need today. And give us your feedback of  what you hear back from your Congress person. For The Public Square® I'm Wayne Shepherd with Dave Zanotti.
